About

Born in Israel of French and Tunisian parents, I was a child of a young country, where the flowers blanketed the fields in the spring, and the rare showers smoothed out the scorching rays of the sun, imbuing the earth with soft light and soft scents. It is those memories I cherish.  I especially appreciate the healthy food I grew up with, the legendary Mediterranean Diet, and write a blog called The Food of Israel.  I began painting as an adult (see my work at the Ambrosia Palette blog) as a way to create balance in my life. I also love music (see Music Ecstasy), and endeavor to give all my paintings musical names, since I have not yet found a way to actually include music in the paintings.  Beside painting, I have been given the gift of language. I speak several languages, and am careful to speak them correctly. I write a blog called Sticklers for Syntax, in which I expound on various grammatical errors encountered in everyday life.  It is for the linguistic snobs among us! I avidly trade the stock market and liken it to a chess game, with all its moving parts (see Options Trading Tactics).

I started this blog as a way to solidify my thinking about my own retirement which is fast approaching.  It is my aim to read and plan and design as rich a life in retirement as possible.

As you can see, I have eclectic tastes.  Read my blogs, contribute your comments, and enjoy the journey!
